Many of the famous places in Greece have earned their fame through their contributions in the advancement of human civilization no less and some are famous because of their natural beauty, for example the island of Corfu and Thessaloniki which is the capital of Macedonia. The landmarks that adorn these places are markers in the journey of the evolution of Western society.

• Athens – The capital of Greece tops any list of famous places in Greece. In Athens, you feel the vibes of Greek culture all around you. The Acropolis dominates the city’s collective consciousness.
